Six chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants have held a ‘Great Chefs Dinner’ in London to raise money for the Epidermolysis Bullosa charity
Six Michelin-starred chefs have raised £70,000 for DEBRA after holding a ‘Great Chefs Dinner’ in London.
DEBRA is the only UK charity for those that suffer with the potentially fatal skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). The charity funds research into treatments for the condition with the aim of finding a cure.
The evening saw the chefs produce a four course meal with each chef responsible for a separate part of the menu. Guests at the event, which also featured an opportunity to meet the chefs and a culinary auction, included Zara and Mike Tindall.
DEBRA president Simon Weston, said: “I am delighted that we were able to raise over £70,000 from the Great Chefs Dinner, the meal from the world class chefs was superb and the wine was perfect! We are very appreciative of the chefs’ support, it is phenomenal that they gave up their valuable time to help us fight EB and raise the profile of the condition.”
