Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) has announced it has launched a new toy of its mascot Bernard Bear to be sold in Smyths toy shops in the run up to Christmas.
The toys will be available in all of the toy retailer’s stores, with all profits going to the charity to help it support the children at the hospital. The toys are handmade and see the bear mascot sporting one of the charity’s purple hoody, the bear is 18cm tall and costs £9.99.
A GOSH statement read: “Bernard Bear is brave and strong. Just like all the children and young people that come to GOSH every day. When you take Bernard home, all profits go to support patients and their families.
“The hospital has always depended on charitable donations to give seriously ill children the chance of a better future. This soft and cuddly teddy bear has been lovingly hand made so you can hug him often.”
